John was a loving husband to betty and a loving father to Aliceon, Tracy, John Grandfather to Kelly
Kirsty Sarah Louise Sophie and greatgrandfather to Kendal. He was fun loving liked to tell jokes and
couldnt tell them right with laughing himself he was my special dad and miss him more than words can
say John had lost his voice through choking on a crust of a pie he had went to hospital for checks
which they took weeks to find anything wrong. Then on the Satarday he was finding it hard to breath
my mum took him to casualty when a doctor said his results should have been through he went to look
for them. When the doctor found them he told my mum he had cancer in the gullet. My mum had phoned
me my sister and brother to go up to the hospital then she told us the news we were devastated my
dads words were he wasnt frightened to die but i think he was just trying to be brave as he didnt
sleep in the hospital from the satarday until wednesday. I think he was scared to go to sleep incase
he didnt wake up.On the wedneday night my mum got a phone call saying my dad had took a bad turn me
and my mum,brother went up to the hospital we stayed with him from the wednesday my dad never
gained concious again.My mum and me stayed in the hospital until Friday night when the nurses came
into check him we left the room then the nurse came out and said I think John is slipping away we
ran in he was holding his breath until we held his hand then he slipped away peacefully i am just
glad we were with him right up until his last breath.

A Father is a special gift,
